USD 259 Educational Grants

On a yearly basis, Koch awards classroom grants to selected Wichita public school teachers to implement entrepreneurship and STEM field educational programs.

Coding for the next generation

Koch employees volunteered at Wichita-area schools to introduce students to the basics of coding through an Hour of Code during #CSEdWeek.

Since 2010, more than 1,300 interns in the KCR program have accepted full-time positions in Wichita.

To help remove barriers to opportunity, Koch attorneys volunteer to help process conviction expungements for those who qualify.

The Koch Carousel Gardens at Botanica will create an inclusive, sensory learning experience surrounding a restored Joyland carousel.

Koch Innovation Challenge

We sponsor this annual Wichita State University competition to foster a culture of creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and teamwork among students.

At local elementary schools, Koch volunteers meet weekly with students to mentor and encourage them to improve their reading skills.

We support this vibrant, regional arts hub in Wichita – providing opportunities to appreciate and create art in an atmosphere of lifelong learning.

Stitching together face masks, new opportunities

Stella, a former recipient of the Koch membership assistance at GoCreate, is teaching job skills to others in recovery while aiding our community’s response to COVID-19.

We support hundreds of students each year via various avenues including programs like the Koch IMPACT Scholarship and the Kansas Hispanic Education & Development Foundation.

We fund membership and training assistance at GoCreate, a high-tech maker and collaboration lab.

As a longstanding partner of the Salvation Army, we host an annual Angel Tree campaign to help support the organization’s important work in our community.

Koch funded a Youth Entrepreneurs and Invention Convention Worldwide educator development workshop to help bring invention education to local classrooms.

We helped with initial funding of  the Teen Learning Academy, which is an opportunity for students grades 6 – 12 to complete their remote class work with assistance from Boys & Girls Club staff.

Supporting new career paths

In partnership with Catalyte, a talent transformation platform and software development services company, we've launched a new program to identify people in the Wichita area to become software developers.
